Make a Difference in Key Elections: Writing Postcards to Voters
Postcards to Voters are friendly, handwritten reminders from volunteers to targeted voters, giving Democrats a winning edge in close, critical races coast to coast.
On March 11, 2017, we shared five addresses apiece to 5 volunteers on Facebook to mail postcards to voters in Jon Ossoff’s race. In one month, we grew to 1,200+ volunteers nationwide and over 51,000 postcards mailed.
We have over 75,000+ volunteers in every state (including Alaska and Hawaii) who have written close to 8 million postcards to voters in over 200 key, close elections.
Using an interactive texting service (Abby The Address Bot), we assign addresses to our trusted returning volunteers. We use a commercial Help Desk system to streamline and automate email requests for new volunteers and organizers.
Remember, every vote counts, and every postcard could be the catalyst that prompts voters to make their voices heard. While our previous effort was commendable, we aim to rally even more volunteers this round. Whether you can pen fifty postcards or just five, each is a step closer to a decisive win.
If you’ve spent even a minute reading this, take a moment more to reflect. Can you dedicate 15 minutes and the backs of five postcards to change history?
Activists have worked tirelessly to push for initiatives that uphold our rights. It’s our turn to ensure that we have an unbeatable grassroots army ready to secure that win when the moment arrives. Join the current Ohio Amendment campaign by requesting your first (or next) five addresses.
