ABOUT SoCAL BLUE
What We Do
Established in 2017, SoCal Blue focuses on uniting Southern California progressive activists and organizers through our calendar of political events. Our primary objective is to help progressives and Democrats win elections.
Everyone working on our calendar is a volunteer.
We played a central role in organizing the Southern California district coalitions that produced record turnout and swept the region’s 2018 Congressional elections. Our work has continued in every election cycle since.
Recently, we launched the Blue Voter Guide. It helps voters make quick, informed choices about candidates and propositions by showing what's on the ballot and the endorsements from trusted organizations on the left. Blue Voter Guide is available in all 50 states.
We work with numerous other "resistance" political organizations and have partners and allies throughout the country. These include Swing Left, Field Team 6, Indivisible groups, California Grassroots Alliance, Civic Sundays, Sister District, California Democratic Party, Westside Democratic HQ, and the Grassroots Democrats HQ.
What The Calendar Covers
Our website centers around the competitive House of Representatives districts in the southern half of California. Additionally, we have events for key races in other states as well as local activist activities in the Los Angeles area.
For other states, we list events focused on electing Democrats in swing states and key races. These events are in battleground states and can include races in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
For the LA area, we list activist grassroots events. This can include in-person group meetings, local Democratic Clubs, and special events like marches and protests.
