UC Irvine, CA – Increase voter turnout (CA-47)!
Voter turnout for under 30 year olds is gaining momentum. It was 46 % higher in the last midterm election. One of the main reasons for record breaking turnout is the goal of voting Republicans out to protect reproductive freedom and save democracy. College campuses in California are a great place to have inspiring conversations to encourage students to be voters! Want to help elect leaders who fight for women’s rights, climate rescue, common sense gun laws, LGBTQ+ people’s rights, health care access, better jobs, affordable college, voting rights and saving our democracy itself? Increasing voter turnout is the #1 most effective way to do all these things! No experience necessary. We’ll start with a 15-minute training and get your fitness steps in by walking and talking with students on campus. We’ll have clipboards, forms, and pens. Just bring your smartphone or tablet if you have one, a mask, water, sunscreen, some comfortable shoes, and maybe a hat. NOTE: If possible, wear a liberal-looking t-shirt, hat, or pin! It really helps. Please RSVP, so we can anticipate the number of attendees for this event. And please share this with like-minded friends! Can’t wait to see you there!
