Hey, High School Students! Call Georgia Voters with Flip the West
December 9, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm PST
An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until December 30, 2020
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST RSVP TO JOIN THIS VIRTUAL EVENT!
If you are a high school student passionate about electing progressives, join Flip the West’s phone bank – just for high schoolers.
Join us Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm, Pacific Standard. We’re supporting the two Democratic challengers for U.S. Senate in the Georgia runoff. Democrat Jon Ossoff is facing incumbent Republican David Perdue, and Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock is facing incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler. This race will determine whether the Dems or Mitch McConnell control the U.S. Senate for the first 2 years of the Biden/Harris administration.
While you may not be old enough to vote, you are NEVER too young to make your voice heard. Earn community service hours or build up your college resume, but don’t just stand on the sidelines. We need all hands on deck!
What to expect: You will join others at a “Virtual Phone Bank Center” on Zoom where you will either go to a break-out room for training, or to start making calls. Technical support is always available. Throughout, you’re invited to meet your fellow phone bankers, share success stories, and give us feedback.
What you need: A PC or Mac, with the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. Your iPad, tablet or cell phone, or other browsers such as Safari or Firefox, are not compatible with our automated dialing system. As you will be making calls from your computer, we suggest using ear buds with a microphone.
In order to use Zoom, your computer needs to have a microphone with audio enabled. If your computer has a camera, enable it also. If you are a first time Zoom user please download the free app ahead of time.
Sign up and you will receive a Confirmation Email from Flip the West, with links to the event and the script. Please don’t forget to let us know your level of experience by clicking on the box under mobile / zip code.
