After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. 

Check-In Procedures:

The Zoom conference room and credentials will open at 6:00PM, 1 hour before the start of the meeting, with credentialing closing at 7:00PM. We will keep track of people as they are admitted into the Zoom; it is important that you use your real name. You will be put into a temporary waiting room before being admitted to the meeting. 

DAA Officer Election Rules & Procedures*

Membership Standing

  1. To be considered a Member in Good Standing, an individual must meet the Membership Requirements, the Dues Requirements, and not have a Lapsed Membership.
  2. To be eligible to vote, a person must be a Voting Member in Good Standing, which shall be defined as: having held DAA membership for at least 65 days, be current in dues, and have attended at least two General Membership Meetings and/or Steering Committee, Standing Committee, or Action Committee meetings, between April 2020 – February 2021. The Nomination Meeting counts toward the attendance requirement.

Candidates for the five Officer positions were nominated at the February 25, 2021 Nomination Meeting and are as follows:

Election of Officers (If Necessary)

All Voting Members in Good Standing will be allowed to vote during the Election Meeting. The virtual Election Meeting will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 7:00PM via Zoom.

All officers shall be elected by the Membership at the March Election Meeting of the organization and shall assume transitional duties at the end of that meeting. The new Board shall be installed at the start of the April Membership Meeting. They shall serve for a term of two years. A vacancy in any office shall be filled by appointment by the President or acting President and ratified by the Executive Board. All officers must be Voting Members in Good Standing (see Article IX) of the organization for at least 120 days prior to the election date.

Board Transition

The new Executive Board will not take effect until April 2021, as per DAA bylaws. The LACDP will work with the new Board within the transition period to make sure they have all the information and resources to be successful.
