January 6, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm PST
On January 6th, 2021, a mob, encouraged and supported by then-President Donald Trump, attacked the Capital of the United States. It was planned and coordinated at the highest levels, and extremist groups like the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys came to carry out the final attack. Along with these criminal elements, scores of Trump supporters, believing lies about a stolen election, joined the attempt to violently overthrow our government.

On the second anniversary of the attack on our nation, and in thanks to Capital Police Officers who gave life and limb protecting our leaders and our democracy, we will celebrate our sacred right to vote. We will have food, music, and speakers as we raise our voices for freedom and raise awareness about voting rights.
Plan to join us at Whittier City Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023. Let’s celebrate the saving of our democracy and plan to protect and defend our democracy, our Constitution, and our freedoms.
